In the chiropractic alphabet, R is for Responsibility.
And yes, it’s true, your spine is responsible for transmitting almost every signal in your body. These signals, in turn, are responsible for controlling how your body works.
So if your body works well, thank your spine. And if your body should work better, figure out a way to improve your spine. When was the last time you had your spine checked?
Your chiropractor is responsible for detecting and correcting imperfections in the spinal column, called subluxations. If you just leave your subluxations, they are responsible for irritating nerve signals, often causing pain as well as disrupting other functions.
As much as we would like to, we cannot snap our fingers and make your pain disappear. Correcting spinal subluxations is a process. Our responsibility is to educate you on the best options for changing your spine. We will be able to tell you approximately how many adjustments you will need over what length of time as well as which type of stretching or strengthening exercises will help. Your responsibility is to choose to follow the recommendations.
The reality is that your spinal health is ultimately your responsibility.
